The overhang

Life’s just one big carnival
the clowns are in control,

the lunatics have left the building
the jugglers are filling in
for them.

But we’re all men aren’t we
and we’ve seen it all before?

just as things go tits up
and so we hit the floor.

I’m standing in for the acrobat
I can do trapeze
it ain’t as tough as all that
and you know I aim
to please.

Friday in the boondocks and
my socks are odd, so what?

it’s not about the where or who
but what you do with what
you’ve got.
