Irregular shapes

Some get off scot free
some win the lottery
some like you and me
somewhere in between,
some say they’ve seen the light
some talk a load of shite
some get it on at night
some are like us.

If we don’t look far enough ahead
we’ll never see it before we’re dead
and seeing is believing
so they say.

There is of course, the status quo,
the stopper that stops us if we
want to go,
that bars us from places we’d like to have been,
that keep us in check in
the in between.

The dandelion clock gives a fine timely roar
I blow in its ears and it
gives me one more,
the time’s never right though
and I know that to be true
it is somewhere in between
just like me and you.
