We only start to live when we start to die
and I guess this means from the day we’re born,
and I guess this means from the day we’re born,
there is no settling in period
unless you count childhood
and when you’re very young
you can’t count anyway.
I count the minutes
because I’m old
and they’re familiar,
like the many stars
which I don’t count
because
I know they will always
be there.
